Marianne Haack

Procurement Leadership
& Executive Coaching

I bring more than two decades

of procurement experience

to complex business environments.

My career has led me through senior procurement roles
at international organisations including Novartis,
MorphoSys, and MSD — with European and
global responsibility in the pharma industry.

I know what it means to work where strategy, budgets, suppliers, stakeholders, and day-to-day execution all meet — and where clear decisions often have to be made under pressure.

Today, I support companies in procurement interim management and project-based assignments — particularly in pharma and regulated environments.
My approach is practical, structured, and grounded in real corporate experience: bringing clarity into complexity, aligning people, and keeping important work moving.
If your procurement organisation or project needs experienced, hands-on support, let’s talk.

Procurement Focus

My work has taken me through

global category leadership, procurement projects, cross-functional project environments, and organisational transformation. I have led teams across regions, worked with demanding stakeholders, negotiated with suppliers, and managed substantial budgets in pharma and other regulated environments.

Procurement, in that context, is both strategic and very practical. It means translating business needs into sourcing decisions, aligning stakeholders, managing suppliers, solving day-to-day friction, and keeping projects moving when priorities, risks, or expectations shift.

Interim & Projects

Today, I support companies through interim management and project-based assignments in procurement —

particularly in pharma and regulated environments. Depending on the mandate, this can mean stabilising a procurement function, leading strategic initiatives, supporting transformation, improving stakeholder alignment, or bringing structure and momentum into complex projects.

I work where strategy has to become operational: in project plans, supplier conversations, governance routines, decision papers, stakeholder updates, and the practical follow-through that keeps work progressing.

Hands-on Delivery

My role is often to create clarity quickly:

what needs to be decided, who needs to be involved, where risks sit, and what the next concrete steps are. I bring structure without overcomplicating the work — and I am comfortable moving between senior stakeholders and the detailed execution needed to get things done.

This is also where my sparring and coaching background adds value: not as a separate offer, but as part of how I work with people, manage tension, support decision-making, and help teams or leaders stay effective under pressure.

Clear Leadership

I remain closely connected to the corporate world I come from.

I know the pressure, the pace, and the realities of complex organisations — and I believe good procurement leadership is built through clarity, structure, commercial judgement, and the ability to move people and projects forward.
